For me, I've never had a mentor. I've only looked inward and not up to anyone. Until Heather came back into my life, and shared her wisdom that she's worked on for many, many years to cultivate and curate. At the same time, she's just very authentic. Her way is very organic. Listening to her speak is like a babbling brook. It's just an effervescent experience. I think a lot of times people who are into coaching or into, I don't know, whatever you want to call it, are very attached to themselves being the teacher. Something that Heather is not attached to, which opens her up to even greater gifts, when she dedicates those to the Spirit as she does, which is really fun. She is a master of lots and lots of things, and I feel like these gifts have kind of found her. It was unavoidable for sure to find that this is her path. Makes perfect sense. She's a very powerful person and opened up to this, the spirit plane, in a way that is just so rich and so deep, and rings so true. It's just a gift to witness. It's transformative. It's life changing. It's really fun to be on the receiving end of someone who sees you and shares with you things that you may or may not be ready to hear, which is wonderful. I think a lot of times we teach what we need to learn and I've spent a lot of time doing that and not receiving those things for myself. I'm able to do that with Heather. She's able to do that with me. And she's able to touch a lot of people's lives. She's a pistol, a powerhouse, she's peaceful. She's pure.

Heather has a gift. Her genuine desire to help people, coupled with her intuitive nature, allows her to see where someone is in their life and then help them better understand their behavior and their choices. She does not promise miracle “cures” or instant gratification. Rather, she promises hard work on both sides with the hopeful outcome of acceptance and empowerment to move forward in a healthy, balanced manner. Heather and I met through a professional opportunity. While I was helping her with her business endeavors, she was learning who I was by listening and observing, noticing insecurities and self-esteem issues I thought I had masked well. I cannot explain how she does what she does but she helped me to face some of my personal demons. I am a people pleaser and a target for those who need someone to control. After years of allowing people to demean and manipulate me, Heather forced me to take a hard, introspective look at why. She gave me tools and resources to help me feel confident in my abilities and believe in my worth. Her intuition is uncanny. She can sense and even “see” details that instigate mind-blowing conversations that leave you feeling both drained and energized. Since my interactions with Heather, I am much more aware of how I handle situations. I still have issues and always will- definitely supports Heather’s “We are all victims of victims” message - but I now have more faith in myself and more empathy and compassion to what others are going through. I will always be a people pleaser but I now know how to set healthy boundaries and realistic goals that will further me personally and professionally. While I am still in the initial phases of my passion project, The Lifestyle Historian, with a long way to go, I am grateful for Heather's guidance and persistent nudging to take the steps needed to do what I was meant to do. She consistently reminds me to extend grace to myself and that all things happen in the time and manner that they are supposed to, relieving the pressures that I place upon myself to shorten timelines and achieve that all so elusive facade of perfection.

I met Heather 9 years ago when I was a dental hygienist and she was one of my patients.  During one of her  appointments, she stopped me in the middle of her cleaning to ask if I had a sister with a mole on her face.  My first thought was no, but then I remembered my oldest sister had one on her chin that was removed when she was a teenager.  In shock I said “yes I do, why?”  She said “Your mom is here and doesn’t like that you are not speaking”. I got chills and started crying, I couldn’t believe she would even know that about my sister.   That’s when I knew she had a gift.  Over the following years she became my hairdresser and we would have many conversations as she “read” my energy and spoke the truth to me. 

 Eventually she stopped doing hair to follow her passion and we had not been in contact for over a year.  Out of the blue (during the pandemic) she texted me “What’s up?  You’ve come in my mind in the last two days, hard hitting!”   Again, I just started crying because I was going through a lot!  My entire body was just shutting down and she knew!  In times when you feel all alone but someone can see and feel your energy,  it is so comforting.  Heather really cares about people and puts her entire soul into helping people heal.  I have since healed my body and my past traumas and she was a big part of my healing process.  She truly has a gift!

    Last night, I read something that made me think of Heather. It was a book by Thomas Moore, called Care of the Soul and in it, he wrote “The soul lies midway between understanding and unconsciousness, and its instrument is neither the mind or the body, but rather imagination, fulfilling work, rewarding relationships, personal power, and relief from symptoms are all gifts of the soul.”

    I believe Heather gave me an opportunity to find my soul, her gift. And I say that with the utmost seriousness. I met Heather accidentally on purpose. There’s no way to really explain when you meet someone that you immediately feel comfortable with – that they’re special to you.

    That was what happened when I met Heather. Like it was meant to be. Connected with ease. That’s Heather‘s style. She sees you and all your potential. Your ride or die that has your happiness as her goal – and understand that your happiness is up to you. But you have to recognize the need for a spiritual life in order to fulfill your happiness. She can guide you there, but she’ll never force you. I have new eyes to see that the light, the dark, the pain, the pleasure, the mistakes and the joy are all meant to be. That pain and beauty go hand and hand and that’s ok. That is when we can go deep to find the true self, the soul. Heather provided that guidance I know 100% how she made me feel and how she impacted my life for the better.
